General information Muggenbeet is a small picturesque area in the province of Overijssel in The Netherlands. It is situated North of a lake, called Giethoornse Meer. The channel on which Muggenbeet is situated, forms a through route between Nortwestern Overijssel and Friesland. The camping-site lies near a pool and consists of various parts, which are separated from one another. One of the fields is designed for a dozen of seasonal places, the other ones can be used by canoists and cyclists. The many pollard-willows, the fringes of reeds and the water-lilies at Muggenbeet, make you feel one with nature. There is a special jetty for canoes. Of course there is a toilet-building and showers. Guests can also use our kitchen with hot and cold running water for washing-up etc. Camping-site Muggenbeet is completely surrounded by reeds and pollard-willows and it is easily accessible from the Giethoornse Meer.

Reservations The campsite is large enough, so there is no need for canoeists and cyclists to book ahead. For groups consisting of 10 or more persons, booking ahead is necessary. Camping-site Muggenbeet has several places for tourists who travel by caravan/camper. |
